摘要
This report concerns application of the finite element method (f. e. m. ) to the electro-magnetic calculation of shunt reactors. Introductory remarks on the various types of structure at present in use are followed by a statement of the methods normally used for calculating reactor magnetic field. The possibilities offered by the latter are than compared with those offered by f. e. m. Finally, results are given of calculations of the magnetic field and of some associated quantities, obtained by f. e. m. , and of test results obtained on two 30 Mvar, 138 and 13. 8 kV, 50 Hz reactors, recently supplied.
