摘要
The degree of confinement or burden of an explosive charge plays an important role in the variation of the transmitted magnitude of the shock wave through the ground. The intensity of the shock wave increases with burial depth or with greater confinement until a critical depth is reached. Beyond this critical depth, the magnitudes of ground vibration remain constant. This finding explains the anomalies between the expected level and the monitored ground vibration in a particular situation.
