Hysteresis of critical currents of a high-Tc Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O superconductor in magnetic fields

Critical current-magnetic field (Ic-H) curves of the Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O superconductor have been studied for θ=0° to approximately 90°. Here, θ is the angle between the sample surface and the direction of the magnetic field. The hysteresis was observed in the Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O as well as in Y-Ba-Cu-O system and others. The former hysteresis is smaller than the latter ones. We did not obtain the significant θ dependence of Ic-H curves. The hysteresis is explained by the bridge model.
