Applications and techniques illustrate the strides being made every day in the field of assembly. Included are a new method for joining large plastic parts, a metal adhesive which can replace knurling, welding and press-fitting; a machine which can embed sheet metal parts in plastic without access to the back side of the plastic; and a pin insertion system which can dramatically improve the speed of insertion.
