摘要
This report presents a description of essential mechanisms and algorithms in a real-time operating system. Special interest has been given to the functions used in establishing the administration of concurrent processes in small micro computer systems with limited memory (imbedded computers). With reference to a simple example, the partitioning of system function into self-contained processes is discussed along with process interaction and data interchange. By means of discussing a sequential model of the software required by this example, the basic principles in an operating system nucleus are formulated.
