摘要
The design of photoelectric converters for facsimiles will become much easier when characteristics of such elements of this unit as the light source, optical system and photo sensor, and their relationships, are defined. To define these requires quantitative measurement of radiation. The element characteristics are arranged by measured photometric quantity, and a formula is derived from the relationships among illuminance on original copy, illuminance on image surface and photo sensor sensitivity. Performance characteristics of the light source, lens and solid-state image sensor are defined. Further conditions required for design of the photoelectric conversion unit are determined by analyzing the effects of spectral reflection characteristics of the original on total spectral sensitivity of the photoelectric conversion unit.
