摘要
An amplifier with a discretely variable gain from 1-255 in the first band and 10-2550 in the second is described. The linearity over the band from 2 multiplied by 10** minus **3 to 5 v is not worse than 0. 2%. The error in setting a new value of the gain on changing from one signal to another is less than 0. 5%. The amplifier is intended for use in a pulsed spectrometer with optical-signal modulation.
