摘要
This paper describes the application and results of a new automatic load flow contingency evaluation system. The system utilizes conventional load flow data, together with line and transformer outage rates and repair times, to quickly locate trouble spots on the transmission network and rank them in order of severity. The system is also useful for comparing alternative plans for system expansion and in determining construction priorities. By simplifying data preparation and greatly reducing computer output it enables a single planning engineer to do the work of several.
