METHODS OF COMPUTERIZED ANALYTIC CALCULATIONS FOR NONLINEAR PROBLEMS OF MECHANICS.

Theoretical and applied mechanics offers a wide field for application of computerized analytic calculation systems (ACS). These systems have contributed to significant progress in the solution of various problems of theoretical physics and celestial mechanics. They process rapidly and without error large volumes of analytic data, relieving investigators of routine work in complex and cumbersome analytic transformations. The present paper describes a procedure for analytic of systems of nonlinear differential equations by symbolic transformations on a computer. As an illustration, a problem of the dynamics of a gyroscope with a gimbal suspension is solved.
