Nondestructive Testing of Structural Components Made from Composite Materials.

The polymer-matrix composites, due to their low mass volume and to their comparatively good mechanical resistance, will find increasingly growing applications in structural components, the requirements for which include light weight and resistance. Therefore, special interest is shown in the analysis of possible defects in these materials and nondestructive tests conducted to detect thses defects. This work presents a brief review of defects and nondestructive methods.
