A typical set of Bayesian life test sampling plans called Bayesian median failure rate (MFR) plans are developed for the acceptance or rejection of lots having a constant failure rate. The MFR plans are fixed time plans of the replacement type that utilize the parameters of a gamma distribution in the planning and control life of life test requirements. The principal objective of the MFR plans is to reduce the sample size of classical fixed time plans while maintaining equivalent quality protection.
