Measuring the bulk concentration of particles in hydraulic fluid by means of two-fluid differential pressure gages

The schemes of two-fluid differential pressure gages using intermediate fluids with densities above and below the density of the environment are given, as well as the schemes of their connection to vertical and horizontal flows in hydraulic transport systems and formulas for determining the bulk concentration of suspension in the flow and the scale length for pressure difference determination. As far as the two-fluid differential pressure gages increase the scale length for pressure difference measurement, they are recommended for use in studying the depth distribution of the bulk concentration of suspension in a horizontal flow, as well as in measuring small pressure losses in the motion of homogeneous fluids.
