摘要:
Description of experiments designed to determine the extent to which instrument design parameters alter the measured value of neutron lifetime in formations around a borehole. It is shown that spacing, shielding, and other factors are significant and that, by optimal selection of these parameters, the expected influence of neutron diffusion and borehole effects can be minimized.
