a theoretical relationship between the combustion rate of a cloud of fuel particles and its particle size distribution parameters is tested against experimental data compiled during a series of combustion trials in which variously sized fractions of pulverized anthracite are burnt in a one-dimensional furnace under approximately stoicheiometric conditions. The results are shown.
