A waveguide switch design, involving symmetric three-arm branching in the H plane with a ferrite Y-shaped insert in the centre, is considered. The main characteristics of the developed switches of the centimetre and millimeter ranges are given. The proposed approach provides to design electrically controlled switches with low-losses. It can be successfully used in designing multiarm switches, synthesized by cascades of switched circulators.
