OBSERVATION OF FRACTURE SURFACES OF TRC TEST SPECIMENS WITH SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPE.

摘要
Tensile restraint cracking tests of HT-100, a steel with hydrogen embrittlement, showed intergranular fracture and quasicleavage fracture. Specimens with medium hydrogen embrittlement showed, in their root sections, quasicleavage fracture surface. The width of such area increased as the applied stress decreased and the fracture time was prolonged. Specimens with little hydrogen embrittlement showed dimple patterns in their root sections and ductile fracture surfaces.
