Calculation and analysis of the structure of losses of electrical energy in networks of the Ministry of Power Engineering of the USSR are carried out at the production association of Soyuztekhenergo since 1973. Since 1976 the results of this work have served as an information base for calculating the amount of losses for the Ministry of Power Engineering of the USSR and its subdivisions. Based on the procedural formulations, a special program has been developed, that provides for the possibility of analyzing the electrical energy losses according to voltage steps and, as statistical information accumulates (after 5-7 years), the possibility of using this information to predict the indicator and determine the factors that exert the greatest effect on electrical energy losses.
