摘要
This article discusses activity in the field of particle-size analysis. Three monitoring techniques - dynamic light scattering, hydrodynamic chromatography (HDC) and field-flow fractionation (FFF) - have either made their commercial debuts or are close to entering the market. New developments are expanding the range of instruments based on the well-known method of sedimentation. And some progress has been made by U. S. firms interested in integrating particle-size analyzers with feedback control systems, so that size data can be used for process control.
