摘要
In order to optimize the operating parameters for oxidative treatment of flue gases, the authors investigated the reactions occuring in nitrogen-diluted methanol-nitrogen monoxide-oxygen systems. The effects of temperature, residence time, methanol/nitrogen monoxide molar ratio and oxygen concentration were considered. The experimental results show that nitrogen monoxide is easily oxidized to nitrogen dioxide in the temperature range of 550 to 850 degree C while methanol is rapidly decomposed under the effect of nitrogen monoxide. Improved yields of nitrogen dioxide were obtained with increasing oxygen concentrations and methanol/nitrogen monoxide molar ratios.
