摘要
The development of centrifugation techniques is discussed and the parallel and interrelated evolution of controlled crystallization considered, as is its effect on the separation of high-viscosity molasses from recoverable sugar. The advent of continuous separation units is discussed, with mention of the necessary techniques and a brief comparison with batch units.
