摘要
This paper describes a novel method to reconstruct a cross sectional form of a three-dimensional object with curved surface by the stereoimage measurements. In this method, the cross sectional form of the object is calculated from local curved segments, which are obtained respectively by the sequence of the stereo-image measurements at partial rotations of the object and thus, supposed to be corresponded to the parts of the cross sectional form. This method to extract the cross sectional form is in sharp contrast with the conventional one, where the form is simply obtained by connecting adjacent segments in succession. It is also free from the fluctuation of rotation and the translation of the center of the object. These advantages may allow us to apply this method to the concaved object successfully.
