Fesi-inoculation of cast iron should be followed by Mg treatment even if Fesi Mg waster alloys have been used. This treatment provides better results regarding the character of graphite precipitation. After the first treatment with the Mg waster alloy and the inoculant, the inoculation effect is shown to fade out first and then the graphite module-forming effect. After the secondary inoculation, however, the latter effect fades away first.
