A two-year renovation project in New Trier High School, Ill., is underway to install a modern HVAC system and new lighting that will improve the indoor environment, hence enhancing the overall learning environment. The school selected a large Chicago-based HVAC contractor, Hill Mechanical Group, to be the construction manager (CM). The design, construction drawings, scheduling, bidding process, and CM's onsite project mobilization are discussed. The mechanical CM process is a success.
