Cold forging of high precision parts, such as inner races, spur gears, helical gears, gear and spline shaped shafts and axles, puts high demands on the tool performance. The dimensional tolerances of the die inserts are very close, depending both on the precision in die manufacturing and on the die behaviour during forging. An advanced tooling system provides new opportunities to adjust the diameter of cold forging dies in a very effective way.
