DEVELOPMENT OF THE LUBRICATING GREASE INDUSTRY IN CHINA.

China has lagged behind the more advanced industrialized countries in the development of its lubricating grease industry. Nevertheless, there have been great strides recently in the lubricating grease industry and in grease technology in China. It is expected that lithium-base greases will continue to increase rapidly in China because of their good qualities, and because China has rich resources of lithium hydroxide monohydrate, stearic acid and 12-hydroxystearate acid. It is possible to produce a aluminum complex and lithium complex greases as a substitute for sodium base greases, because these complex greases can meet the requirements of high temperature working conditions. The processing technology and equipment of manufacturers of lubricating greases will be improved. More advanced and efficient equipment will be introduced to prepare these new greases.
