摘要
High voltage power supplies pose different design challenges than their lower voltage cousins. In addition to the handling of higher voltages these differences include safety requirements, packaging and testing. High voltage supplies are used applications that are different from low voltage supplies, such as lasers, crt monitors, nuclear research, cyclotrons, particle accelerators, etc. A new hv power supply is reported that can be voltage, current, or power regulated. Among its potential applications are laboratory research and industrial applications to power klystrons, TWTs, sputtering, e-beam welding, and ion beam systems.
