摘要
Thermal lobing (workpiece distortion due to nonuniform heat effects) increases wheel wear and produces chatter and poor finishes, especially with larger diameter parts. In addition to proper coolant supply and filtration, the use of a two-speed grind cycle automatic feed control, with slow removal of a small amount of stock at completion, is the most effective remedy.
