Nonstationary pressure appearing when a rigid body strikes on the surface of the liquid filling the chamber is experimentally studied for its distribution in the closed cylindrical chamber with stiff walls. Results of the study are presented. Mass and rate of a striker as well as liquid are studied for their effect on parameters of pressure pulse. Experimental data are compared with the known theoretical dependences for pressure determination. The effect of thickness and material of the bottom on the shape of time dependence of pressure is analyzed.
