摘要：
Increased safety in the transportation of hazardous materials is the anticipated outcome of federal regulations on continuing qualification and maintenance of railcars, which will be in force as early as in 1998, according to the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). The tank car regulations as they address the inspection of linings in tank cars, the qualification of inspectors, inspection techniques and the responses from the linings and transportation industries are described.
