SOME ASPECTS OF SHOCK-WAVE RESEARCH.

The paper deals first in detail with the problem known as pseudostationary oblique shock wave reflections. In doing this, it presents simplified algebraic solutions for regular reflection and Mach reflection which involve mainly the shock waves and the slipstream. In order to compare experimental and analytical solutions of the entire flowfield for such sensitive parameters as the density distribution, which can be measured interferometrically. The time-dependent or pseudostationary Euler equations for a perfect or equilibrium gas are then solved.
