摘要
The transient thermal effects are investigated on a tilting-pad thrust bearing which undergoes rapid start up and slow start-up with the rotation speed from 2 300 r/min to 5 100 r/min when load is absent. For start-up, the oil temperature and variation of mean oil film thickness increase with the rotational speed. The increase of the rotational speed has a corresponding effect on the oil temperature.
