摘要
The work described in the preceding reports has increased our knowledge of the dielectric, thermal and thermomechanical performance of the MV distribution cable (HN 33-S-23) have has led to certain developments, improving the performance of such material still further, particularly when overloaded. It has been possible to make improvements to the constituent materials, either relating to their selection or to the way they are used. Examples which can be quoted are the increased cushion effect of the core screen by modifying the shape of the grooves, the use of new hygroscopic powders, the improvement of the quality of the aluminum screen bond, etc. In the longer term, certain other developments may be foreseen, in particular: sealing the conductors to prevent the passage of water; the use of electrical insulating materials that are less sensitive to water; the use of new lacquers, ensuring efficient bonding between screen and oversheath and obviating the need for hot-melt adhesives. The various possible technical and technological development are outlined and discussed.
