To determine the increased oil recovery by waterflooding, the calculations must consider fluid flow characteristics, heterogeneity of the oil field, well pattern, as well as fluid and source-rock physical properties. Quality input data and their processing by computer are required. An overview of various waterflooding methods and basic characteristics of the computation is given.
