摘要
Plant trials with an electromagnetic brake have demonstrated that quality benefits have been achieved by reducing the flow velocity of liquid steel in the mold. The inclusion content of cast product is reduced by approximately 50% in curved mold casters and approaches that obtained in straight bending-type machines. Shell growth of the narrow slab face, normally retarded by the impact of metal streams, is improved.
