摘要
The study described has encompassed an evaluation of fourteen yard speed control devices, an identification of four generic speed control systems, a qualitative assessment of the four systems, and a quantitative analysis of three yards each employing a system that is considered promising. These three systems are the advanced clasp retarder system, the quasicontinuous control systems, and a hybrid system incorporating quasi-continuous control.
