An approach is suggested to study polarized piezoelectric ceramics elastic properties which permits consideration of piezoeffect influence on the elastic properties. Phase velocities of elastic longitudinal wave propagation in the left bracket 100 right bracket , left bracket 001 right bracket , left bracket 101 right bracket directions and propagation velocities of shear waves in the left bracket 100 right bracket direction with polarization along the left bracket 001 right bracket and left bracket 010 right bracket axes are measured by the pulse method. A relative measurement error for propagation velocities of elastic waves was 0. 3-0. 5%. Effective elastic constants and elastic compliances which describe elastic properties of specimens made of polarized piezoelectric ceramics of 17 various compositions are calculated from the values of phase propagation velocities.
