摘要
The accuracy of the Pop-up Ocean-Bottom Seismometer (OBS) was tested. The location of the OBS on the sea-floor is determined to be halfway between the point where it was dropped from the ship and the point where it surfaces. An accuracy of plus or minus 0. 1 nautical mile, referred to the satellite position, was achieved by careful operations during both the deployment and the recovery.
