In diving physiology experiments it is often necessary to generate different pressure versus time courses in a high pressure tank. Experiments are planned in the pressure ranges up to 10**6N/m**2 or 10**7N/m**2. A numerically controlled servo-system for regulating the pressure in an experimental pressure tank for animals is described. Actuated by a punched paper tape, the system controls the pressure with a resolution of 0. 1% full scale for several days with a time-resolution of 0. 5 s.
