New-Type Six-Element Distance Protection for H. V. and E. H. V. Systems.

The six-system electronic distance protection scheme offers minimum command duration, higher degree of operational reliability, accuracy of measurement and optimum tripping characteristics for every type of fault. For the purpose of initiating the tripping command, the distance and direction measuring facilities operate in conjunction with a current, voltage and angle-controlled enabling element in the form of an AND circuit. Type testing is by conducting high-voltage, impulse voltage and function tests.
