摘要
The goal of the present investigation was to study the process of treatment of alkaline waste water to remove emulsified and suspended impurities under the effect of salts of Mn and also to study the effect of temperature, ammonium salts, acids, and H2O2 on the removal of impurities. The experiments were conducted with agitation by a mechanical stirrer and filtration of the resulting mixture through a filter of glass fiber or quartz sand. By using peroxides, coagulants, flocculants, and electrolysis, one can achieve chemical flotation of impurities emulsified and suspended in alkaline water at a low treatment cost. This technology provides a decrease in the concentration of emulsified oils and tars in the water from 0.8-7.0 g/liter to a residual concentration of &le25 mg/liter, which makes it possible to send the treated water to biological treatment facilities for tertiary treatment without a hazard of putting the biological complex out of service.
