摘要
The various heat treatment processes used in foundries are explained. The factors which determine the dimensions of the space necessary for the load and which lead to the selection of the most economical furnace shape and heating method are indicated. Typical shapes for batch and continuous furnaces are shown and the advantages and drawbacks of different furnace types are compared.
