摘要
This investigation of the effect of solidification rate of the unidirectionally solidified alloy on its mechanical properties and structure indicates that tensile strength and yield strength depend less on the structure type than on the degree of dispersion of the eutectic silicon particles. The finer the dispersion, the higher are the strength properties. Toughness, however, characterized by elongation and reduction of area, depends on the structure type. The highest values were found in the directionally oriented specimens.
