The study is based on the evaluation of about 240 flood hydrographs from 29 small watersheds on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Between four and fifteen single-peak hydrographs were collected for each watershed and peak discharges andamount of runoff were calculated. The characteristics of a flood hydrograph of a small watershed are shown through the evaluation of time to peak and recession constant, which are both small. The superposition characteristics of a linear model can be applied to the hydrograph analysis of tropical oceanic-island conditions of Hawaiian small watersheds.
