摘要：
After giving some general indications about white cast iron, this article surveys the testing methods used by various experimenters and, in particular, by the authors. These methods include hardness measurements, Vickers microhardness and Knoop hardness tests. Other tests covered are wear tests by abrasion and impact. The difficulties peculiar to the control of white cast irons are underlined.
