A description is given of an attempt which has been made to find a universal formula for the dependence of heat transfer on drop (gradient) of pressure in coolant in porous media of various structures, based on the principle of local similarity with use of the Kolmogorov scales of oscillating motion. For brevity, porous media are taken to include beds of spheres, granular, cellular and fibrous materials, and bundles of cross-swept tubes, i. e. those media in which a coolant changes direction many times, flowing around solid phase surfaces and forming jet or separating-vortex flows.
