The phase structures, electrochemical properties and PCT characteristics of MlNi3.55+xCo0.75Al0.3Mn0.4 (Ml=Lanthanumrich Michmetal, 0&lex&le0.6) alloys have been investigated. The value of lattice constant decreases, the value of lattice constant c and cell volume increase with the increasing value of x except for the alloy with x=0.6. The discharge capacities and cycling stability decrease, activity is greatly improved and the plateau pressures of PCT curve increases with the increasing value of x. Increasing value of x facilitates segregation of Mn, Al elements, but does not obviously affect segregation of Ni element.
