EFFECTIVE EXCITATION OF VOLUME MAGNETOSTATIC WAVES IN FILMS OF YTTRIUM IRON GARNET.

摘要
There recently has been vigorous development of functional assemblies and elements for analog processing of superhigh frequency (SHF) signals in real time, on the basis of magnetostatic waves (MSW) in epitaxial films of yttrium iron garnet (YIG). Most studies have been concerned with the investigation of surface MSW, since the structure of the field of such a wave permits quite efficient excitation by means of short-circuited or open-circuited microstrip lines, as well as by means of narrowband periodic converters designed for the optimal magnetic-field radiation pattern and formed directly at the film surface. This paper reports results of an experiment on excitation, with low conversion losses, of BVMSW and realization of a unimodal regime of propagation in epitaxial films of YIG.
