SOME APPROACHES FOR IMPROVING THE AERODYNAMIC STABILITY OF BRIDGE ROAD DECKS.

摘要
Some recent experiences in improving the aerodynamic stability of bridge road decks are reviewed. By careful attention to edge geometry a high degree of stability is achieved with a box section and a twin box section for a proposed new long span bridge. A cable-stayed bridge with a central box and cantilevered side spans is also discussed. The use of dynamic vibration absorbers is demonstrated analytically and in model experiments.
