摘要
A study was made to design more effective gear manufacture for automobile differential gears. It has been established that rough cutting teeth in bevel gears with 5mm and greater module using rotary broaches is best done with a stationary tool spindle. Non-uniformity of the allowance for finishing which develops, is compensated through the use of large diameter broaches. To improve cutting conditions it is suggested that the cutters are divided into three groups and that the cutter blocks are arranged in the broach body such that blocks with narrow teeth alternate with those with wide teeth.
