The need for improved access by all operating, maintenance and engineering staff to the information required to effectively carry out maintenance work led MacMillan Bloedel's Harmac Pulp Division to install a TSW on-line integrated stores and maintenance management system. The process used to implement the system and the problems encountered are presented. A description is presented of computer hardware and software.
